Yesterday was National Book Lover's Day! I have so many books that have impacted my life in powerful ways. One of the things I love to do is gift books to people when a specific one comes up in conversation or when I'm reading a book and I think of someone.

One of the quotes that has guided my life is “Intention without discipline is useless” – Carolyn Myss. This year when I set an intention to have my writing published, I didn't know where or how that would come to be. Regardless, I made a commitment to write regularly, and work with my dear friend and writing coach, Carmen Morgan. I had set up that I would write at least one short essay a month, regardless of where I would post or publish it.
Less than a week after I made this commitment to myself, I got a call to write and publish a personal essay as part of an anthology with 11 other incredible writers and speakers.
When we commit and take action in alignment with soul, inspiration and providence follows.
I’m so excited to share the book Our Yellow Brick Road with you. Each story is one of personal triumph that reveals the power of storytelling, love, courage, and our collective humanity.
